The Kick off Meeting of the project INTERREG IPA ADRION 2021-2027 “GRECALE” [full title: emerGency system enhancement for REsilienCe to nAtural risks and recovery from distastErs] was successfully held in Komotini on December the 10th of 2024, coordinated by the Region of East Macedonia and Thrace. The project (with a total budget of 1.489.991,40 € and REMTH’S foreseen budget 234.036,00 €) is co-funded by the Interreg VI-B Interreg IPA Adriatic Ionian Programme (IPA ADRION), while in general is dealing with increasing the security and resilience of target areas against natural disasters, in the direction of improving the ability to respond effectively to emergencies.
The project partnership, besides REMTH which is the project’s lead beneficiary (LB), consists of the following partners: Regional Agency for Irrigation Forestry Activities Puglia Region (Italy), National Confederation of Craftsmanship and Small and Medium Enterprises Abruzzo (Italy), Athena – Research and Innovation Centre in Information, Communication and Knowledge Technologies (Greece), Varazdin County (Croatia), Agency for Development and Business Support Cetinje (Montenegro), Civil Protection and Firefighting Administration of Herzegovina Neretva Canton (Bosnia-Herzegovina), Public Enterprises ‘’Parks and Greenery’’ (North Macedonia).
During the meeting, which was held in a hybrid way, partners’ representatives had the opportunity to be informed about the key aspects of the project management, as well as about the details of the physical and financial object. Additionally, the establishment of Steering Committee took place and its representatives were appointed accordingly.
