Biography of Archelaus Granas

Archelaos Granas was born in Thessaloniki in 1952, to a father from Corfu and a mother from Galipso, Kavala.

He studied Medicine in Bologna, Italy and served his military service as a military doctor for 22 months. Since 1982 he has been working at the Kavala Hospital.

He is a Surgeon with the rank of Director.

He is a member of the PASOK Kavala prefectural committee.

Since his student years, he has been involved in public affairs at his workplace and in the Medical Association, where he continues to be vice president.

He was president of the Parents and Guardians Association of Kavala schools and a member of its board of directors.

He is a member of the board of directors of the Consumers' Association of the Prefecture of Kavala.

He speaks Italian and English.

He is married to Georgia Karatsali and has two children, Dionysis, who is a lawyer, and Epaminondas, who studied at the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki, at the School of International European Economic Studies.
