APRIL 6TH MEMORIAL DAY PROGRAM
THRACIAN HELLENIC DAY

For the Thracian Hellenism Remembrance Day, in the city of Kavala, the following commemorative events are scheduled:

• GENERAL FLAGSHIP throughout the territory, from eight in the morning until sunset on April 6, 2025.
• ILLUMINATIONS of all government branches, local authorities, as well as branches of public entities and banks, during the evening hours of April 6, 2025, until the morning hours of the next day.

SATURDAY 05 APRIL 2025

11:00 Event dedicated to the Charilaou K. Kerameos Public Benefit Foundation and its multifaceted contribution to Thracian Hellenism, by the Thracian Home of Kavala, in the Great Club hall. The event will honor Thracians for their support in achieving the goals of the Thracian Home.

SUNDAY, APRIL 06, 2025

08:00 OFFICIAL FLAG RAISING at Eleftherias Square.

10:00 Price presentation by the Ministry of Finance.

10:15 Celebration of the Memorial after the Divine Liturgy, for the repose of the souls of those who perished during the persecution of Thracian Hellenism, at the Cathedral of the Apostle Paul, officiated by His Eminence Metropolitan of Philippi, Neapolis and Thassos, Mr. Stefanos. The speech will be delivered by the Mayor of Kavala, Mr. Theodoros Mouriadis.

11:00 Memorial Prayer and laying of wreaths at the Monument of the city of Kavala by the Members of Parliament, the Regional Governor of Eastern Macedonia - Thrace, the Deputy Regional Governor of Kavala, the Mayor of Kavala, the General Commander of the 20th Armored Division, the Rector of the University of Thessaloniki, the Police Director of Kavala, the Commander of the 2nd Regional Command of the Coast Guard, the Commander of the Fire Services of Kavala, Presidents of Branches of Retired Officers' Associations, Presidents of Disabled and Reservist Organizations, Representatives of National Resistance Fighters, the President of the Federation of Disabled and War Victims of Eastern Macedonia - Thrace and the North Aegean Islands, the President of the National Union of Disabled Persons and War Victims, the Presidents of Resistance Organizations, Refugee Associations, Women's Organizations. Wreaths will also be laid by representatives of Thracian organizations and associations as well as any representative of a legal entity or other body that wishes to honor this day.

Regarding the Rites, the Holy Metropolis of Philippi, Neapolis and Thassos is requested to regulate. Issues concerning the formation, awarding of honors, order, movement of vehicles, etc., are requested to be regulated by the competent Military, Police and Municipal Authorities. We appoint as Masters of Ceremonies Mrs. Philippia Kochliaridou, Sultana Farina, employees of the Regional Unit of Kavala and an employee of the Municipal Police of the Municipality of Kavala.
