                                                                                                              NATIONAL RESISTANCE CELEBRATION

For the Celebration of the National Resistance, in the city of Kavala, the following festive events are scheduled:

GENERAL FLAG HOLIDAY throughout the territory, from 8 ^am on November 26, ²⁰²³ , the day of celebration of the anniversary of the National Resistance, until sunset.

LIGHTING of all government branches, local authorities, as well as branches of public entities and banks, during the evening hours of November 26, ²⁰²³ , taking care of energy saving in the context of the Minister of Economy/DEPEA/68315/502/01.07.2022 (Government Gazette 3424 B) Joint Ministerial Decree as in force.

08:00 OFFICIAL FLAG RAISING at Freedom Square.

10:05 Price presentation by the Ministry of Finance.

10:15 OFFICIAL DOXOLOGY at the Cathedral of the Apostle Paul, officiated by His Eminence Metropolitan of Philippi, Neapolis and Thassos, Mr. Stefanos. The day's solemn sermon will be delivered by Ms. Areti Kotsi, Director of the General Lyceum of Krinida.

10:45 MEMORIAL SERVICE and WREATH-LAYING at the monument to the city's Heroes by the MPs, the Deputy Governor of Kavala, the Mayor of Kavala, the General Commander of the 20th Armored Division, the political parties, representatives of resistance organizations and political youth, as well as any representative of a legal entity or other entity who wishes to honor the National Resistance and the struggles against Nazism and fascism.
