                                                                                               ARMED FORCES DAY CELEBRATION

 

 

For the Celebration of Armed Forces Day, in the city of Kavala, the following festive events are scheduled:

  

Tuesday 21 November 2023

GENERAL FLAG HOLIDAY throughout the territory, from 8 am until sunset on November 21, 2023.

LIGHTING of all government branches, local authorities, as well as branches of public entities and banks, during the evening hours of November 21, 2023, taking care of energy saving in the context of the Minister of Economy/DEPEA/68315/502/01.07.2022 (Government Gazette 3424 B) Joint Ministerial Decree as in force.

                                                    

08:00 OFFICIAL FLAG RAISING at Eleftherias Square

10:15 Price presentation by the Ministry of Finance.

10:30 OFFICIAL DOXOLOGY at the Cathedral of the Apostle Paul, officiated by His Eminence Metropolitan of Philippi, Neapolis and Thassos, Mr. Stefanos. The day's solemn service will be delivered by Lieutenant Colonel Nikolaos Panagiotidis, President of the Union of Military Regions of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace.

11:00 MEMORIAL WEDDING and WREATH-LAYING at the city's Monument by the Members of Parliament, the Deputy Governor of Kavala, the Mayor of Kavala, the General Commander of the 20th Armored Division, the Steering Committee of the DIPAE, the Director of the Kavala Police Directorate, the Commander of the 2nd Regional Command of the Coast Guard, the Commander of the Kavala Fire Services, the President of the Union of Retired Officers, the President of the Federation of Disabled and War Victims of Eastern Macedonia - Thrace and the North Aegean Islands, the President of the National Union of Disabled and War Victims, the Presidents of the Resistance Organizations.
