The Regional Accessibility Committee has been established by decision no. 282242/4218/19-08-2025 of the Regional Governor of the Hellenic Republic and in accordance with Article 18 of Law 4495/2017, as amended and in force, is responsible for:
a) Providing an opinion on accessibility issues for people with disabilities and disabled people and on issues related to the implementation of the accessibility provisions of the New Building Regulations (N.O.K.) and the
Building regulations, as well as provisions concerning accessibility issues of outdoor or common areas.
b) Informing the Regional Council and the Regional Governor on accessibility issues related to spatial planning and urban environment issues and in particular the implementation of article 26 of Law 4067/2012 (A'79).
c) the organization of information activities regarding accessibility issues.
d) the exercise of powers attributed to it by articles 20 and 26 of Law 4067/2012 as in force, as well as by other provisions.
