The Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace continues in 2026 its systematic effort to strengthen Road Safety and promote Sustainable Mobility, implementing a comprehensive program of actions aimed at citizens, students, organizations, businesses and the entire local society.
The aim of the actions is to cultivate a new culture of safe and sustainable travel, with the ultimate goal of reducing and ultimately eliminating traffic accidents in the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace.
Within the framework of the action "European Mobility Week 2026 in the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace", the Region is proceeding with the creation of the Electronic Registry of Ambassadors for Sustainable Mobility and Road Safety 2026, inviting all those who wish to actively contribute to the dissemination of responsible road behavior to participate in the initiative.
Who can become an Ambassador?
Any natural or legal person who is active in the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace and wishes, through a voluntary personal commitment, to contribute to the promotion of sustainable mobility and safe traffic can become an Ambassador.
Participation concerns those who commit to making a greater effort to choose, where possible, sustainable modes of transportation, such as walking, cycling or public transportation, to consistently comply with the Highway Code, and to adopt responsible driving behavior in every trip.
An Ambassador is not someone who believes they are the "perfect driver" or have never committed a violation. They are someone who consciously chooses to improve themselves daily, drive responsibly, and set a positive example for their family, social, and professional environment.
The Registry aspires to create a strong network of active citizens and businesses that will act as multipliers of the message of Road Safety and Sustainable Mobility in every corner of the Region. Participation in the Registry is an essential act of social responsibility and contributes to building a safer road environment for all.
The following are eligible to register:
• any natural person permanently residing in the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace,
• any legal entity in the private sector with headquarters in the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace.

Registration takes place exclusively online on the platform - registration portal https://mobilityambassador-pamth.gr/ where all relevant information is posted.
The deadline for submitting applications is Friday, August 7, 2026 at 15:00 p.m.
