Detection of toxicity from lipophilic toxins other than those of Regulation (EC) 853/2004 in shellfish.

Within the framework of the National Surveillance Program of live bivalve mollusc (mussel) production zones for the presence of marine biotoxins in their flesh and the responsible toxic phytoplankton in the seawater of these areas, according to the weekly sampling carried out by the Department of Veterinary Medicine, toxicity due to lipophilic toxins other than those of Regulation (EC) 853/2004 was detected in the flesh of mussels in the Iraklitsa Prefecture zone.
